The Drift explores alternative rock and its endless subgenres. When you tune in, as a Drifter you’ll hear tracks from many camps of rock culture: math rock, which incorporates inventive rhythmic patterns; screamo, with its strained vocals and hard edges; post-rock, which is often instrumental and blazes nontraditional paths while using traditional rock components; midwest emo, defined by its distinctive riffs and unconventional vocal stylings; and every type of alternative rock in between.
